1. How to set "sorting by size" mode in Windows Explorer?
Because of there are some differences in Windows Shell versions the View Folder Size requires different
settings for different Windows platforms. If you want to sort Windows Explorer files/subfolders list by
the item's size please set these options as shown below:
| OS | Use separator | Size units. |
| Windows XP | OFF | Any* |
| Windows 2000 | Any | Any* |
| Windows Me | Any | Any* |
Any* - you can use any metric values but excluding "Auto".
This is sole mode when the sorting by size mode is impossible due to differences of the values in the same listing.
2. Why do View Folder Size works slowly sometimes?
Probably you sort files by folder sizes. This operation may take a lot of time.
Hint: We don't recommend you to use this sort order without absolute necessity.
If you were use this sort order often buys View Folder Size Pro.
